Secret Santa gifts under £5
Need Secret Santa gifts under £5 that do not look like an afterthought? A tight budget is a common rule for office and family exchanges, and it can feel limiting, but it is surprisingly easy to find something cheerful when you know where to look. Every product shown in this guide is a real item from our shop priced under £5, with the current prices pulled straight from our catalogue.
The trick with a small budget is to choose one good thing rather than several forgettable ones. A pair of fun studs, a little pendant or a scented soap will feel more considered than a handful of random extras, and it shows that you thought about the person rather than just the price.
The sections below cover jewellery, small treats and practical desk gifts, so you can match the present to the person you have drawn. If your group has a slightly bigger budget, our ideas for colleagues and our stocking fillers guide are good places to look next.
Earrings under £5
Earrings are one of the easiest ways to stretch a small Secret Santa budget, because a fun pair looks like far more than it costs. Our earrings under £5 include crab studs, pineapple drops, saturn dangles, whale tail earrings, little trumpet studs, sausage dog studs and puzzle piece studs, so there is something for most personalities.
Novelty designs are ideal when you only know a little about the person you have drawn. A music lover will smile at the trumpet studs, a dog owner will enjoy the sausage dog pair, and someone who loves the seaside might choose the crab or whale tail designs for weekends away.
If you are not sure whether they have pierced ears, look for a clue in the earrings they wear to work, or choose something from the next section instead. A pendant or a brooch is a safe swap that still feels like jewellery.

Pendants, brooches and bracelets under £5
A small pendant makes a sweet Secret Santa gift, particularly one with a little meaning attached. A make a wish cloud pendant, a heart in a bottle or a simple key pendant can all be given with a short note, which turns a modest present into something they are likely to keep.
Brooches and bracelets work just as well. A crystal crown brooch adds a bit of sparkle to a winter coat, a colourful daisy brooch brightens up a plain jumper, and a rainbow bracelet is a cheerful choice for anyone who likes a pop of colour. Our acrylic animal brooches are a fun option for the colleague who always has a pin on their bag.
Everything in this section is priced under £5, so you can stay within the rules without having to compromise on the thought behind the gift.
Scented soaps under £5
A scented soap is a classic Secret Santa gift for good reason. It is useful, it smells lovely and it suits almost anyone, which makes it a safe choice when you have drawn a name you do not know well.
Our soaps come in several scents, including rose petals, sleepy lavender, oatmeal and honey, melon, dewberry and a fresh sea scent. Lavender is a nice choice for someone who could do with a calmer evening after a busy year, while the melon and sea scents are bright and cheerful.
Soap also pairs well with other small gifts if your group allows a combined present. Put one with a pair of studs from the earrings section and you have a little bundle that feels generous while staying within the budget.
Desk and practical gifts under £5
Practical gifts are a smart choice for an office Secret Santa, because they get used rather than tucked away. Drinks coasters, a pencil case, a mini purse or a bright lanyard will all earn a place on a desk or in a work bag, and they are easy to give to someone whose tastes you are still learning.
Our world map and wave print coasters suit a tea or coffee drinker, the polka dot mini purse is handy for coins and cards, and the floral and sunflower lanyards give a work pass a cheerful lift. For the colleague who loves to cook, a set of heat resistant kitchen tongs is an unexpected but genuinely useful present.
These ideas are also helpful if your group has asked for gifts that are useful rather than decorative. Everything shown here is priced under £5.
Making Secret Santa gifts under £5 feel special
A small budget does not have to mean a small gesture. The easiest way to lift an inexpensive present is to add a few handwritten words, whether that is a short joke, a thank you for help during the year or simply a warm wish for the holidays. It takes a minute and it is often the part people remember.
Think about presentation too. A little tissue paper and a ribbon make even the smallest gift feel like an occasion, and you do not need to spend much to do it nicely.
If you are buying for more than one exchange, such as one at work and one with friends, it makes sense to order everything together. We offer free UK delivery on orders of £30 or more, so a few small gifts can add up to the threshold if you are buying for several people at once.
